Ashiato

Ashiato is the Japanese word for "footprint". Ashiato themes and activities are designed to bring awareness to each student about what kind of footprint he or she leaves behind at home, school, and in the community.

Themed monthly activities are part of the curriculum at Kessler Karate Academy. The students will earn an "Ashiato Card of Achievement" each month they complete their activity and they will keep them in their My Journey to Black Belt binder. Once they have collected all twelve, they will be given an Ashiato Pin to signify they completed all their activities for that year. A sample of the Ashiato Form is below:
